ASI1600 Image Quality
The ZWO ASI1600 has a built-in 12-bit ADC but can provide over 12 stops of dynamic range! Which means it can capture a wider tonal range a KAF-8300 sensor. The Camera inherently has a much lower read noise, at a 0 gain setting and will further decrease the higher the gain.
It also includes an upgraded PCB board with a 256MB DDR3 memory buffer. Slow data transmission can cause amp-glow around your image, so the DDR memory buffer takes care of that for you.
Most Adaptable Camera Body
Most ZWO cooled cameras have a short back focus, making them very adaptable to almost any telescope system. The ZWO ASI 1600 has a back focus of 6.5 mm! Check the for the best configurations.
8 Position Filter Wheel
The ZWO EFW8 can hold up to eight 1.25-inch mounted or 31 mm unmounted filters. The 31 mm filters are held in place with included set screws and washers.
The EFW8 body is CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and is black anodized. It is sturdy and reliable, yet weighs just 14 ounces and is 20 mm thick! Inside, an NPM stepper motor is used to rotate the carousel in any direction. The EFW8 is powered via USB and includes a cable that can be plugged into the USB2.0 hub of ZWO cooled cameras.
Complete Filter Set
Switch between each filter to gather colorful variations of light resulting in different vivid images! Every ZWO 1600 Kit comes with a set of LRB filters and a complete set of 7-nanometer narrowband filters (Ha, SII and OIII). Finely polished down to an optical accuracy of one-fourth wave, the filters provide zero apparent optical distortion from the filters. To avoid vignetting, use this kit with optical systems no faster than f/8.

Please be aware that this cooled ZWO camera DOES NOT come with a power supply, but one is required to run cooler on the camera. We recommend picking up the or choose from one of the many we offer.
